AThere is no definite rule as to when to display or put away Hina Dolls. Kyoto Shimazu recommends displaying them from around the time of “Risshun”, the first day of spring, to mid-February. They should be displayed at the latest one week prior to the seasonal festivals. The time to put them away should be chosen on a dry and sunny day between the end of the “Sekku” festivals and the end of March. If you are celebrating seasonal festivals according to the old calendar, please consider accordingly. The best time to put them away is also on a dry, sunny day, by the end of April.
